So... I have a 99 4runner, 4x4(obviously) v6.. here's my problem..

My RR Diff Lock worked fine, then i had my transmission rebuilt.. and not it will not engage..

4x4 works like a dream, low and high, but the Diff Lock won't come on.. when i put it in 4low, neutral, and hit the button, all the lights come on, i can hear something click, but the DIFF LOCK light just keeps on flashing (suppossed to stop flashing when engaged.)

any ideas ?

Slowly turn from side to side. If you just drive straight, it wont engage for a long time sometimes. The click makes me assume the actuator is working, and all wires are properly plugged in.

You need to be moving for it to engage. You dont need to be in neutral for the locker to engage, only to shift into 4low

Make sure that you're moving (slowly) and have your transfer case in 4low.
