Rough Start Up

Rough Start Up
Hey guys,
Recently I've noticed my 2000 4runner has been rough on startup for a split second after the engine actually fires up. I know that sometimes when an engine starts it can/does feel a little more rough than when it is fully running, but it has just felt that way more so than it usually does. I've also noticed that this only happens after it has been sitting for about 12+ hours (when I start it up in the morning) but doesn't happen during the day when I go to lunch or come home from work later in the day. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any thoughts on how to fix it. Thanks.

Sounds like you may need to invest a little money in your pride and joy with a tune up. Im not sure of Pre Runner engine options, but if you have a 6 cylinder, you need to find out if the timing belt was replaced, unless you had it replaced since you bought it. If it hasnt been replaced, start planning on that maintenance item as well. It will take a few dollars to do it, even if you do it yourself.
