Rough runnin RUNNER

Question for you all. My 98 SR5 V6 seems to be missin after it goes into OD. I pull out into traffic and it goes through the gears just fine but when it hits OD, it wants to miss and chug a bit. I pulled out the plugs on the driver side and 2 of my coil packs were a bit loose. The plugs were all tight.
I noticed it starting about 3 weeks ago while on the interstate and now it seems to be gettin alot worse.

Any ideas?

Thanks

How many miles?

Check engine light?

How many miles ago was the last sparks and wires?

Where the coils bolt on was loose? or the wires?

Truck has 219,xxx miles.

No check engine light.

Wires and coil packs are most likely original. Plugs have about 8,000 miles on them.

Coil bolts were loose. Wires were OK.

Thanks

I would test the wires and coil packs, check the resistance readings you're getting through them.

I checked the coil packs with 2 different Ohm readers, couldn't get a reading (huh?).

The plug wires all checked very similar .05-.07
I'm baffled and startin to get pissed.

Oh well.

I assume that ohm reading from the wires is 5000-7000 ohms?

Things to check and procedure....
