I didn't place my plug yet but my wiring runs to the back of the vehicle via the frame and up through the left rear tail light and then into the rear hatch weather strip. Its a nice clean run and it enters the rear of my safari rack (hollow tubing) and powers 4 hellas up fromt and two rear. I may put a plug right at the tail light and unplug there when I remove my rack.

Seriously start using the "search" button....there are a few write ups here with pictures.... i'm too lazy to look for them myself now. Why lights so high anyways? Will have glare off the hood, snag them on stuff, wind noise, decreased milage, etc. Oh, ya....prolly a diff/new battery and alternator.

LOL noobs, but they would snag on alot of stuff, my stock roof rack snags on low trees even.

You should post pictures. I bet that looks sick. Worth the snagging.

i have a set of four roof mounted lights on my daiy driver tahoe, i ran the wires through the headliner and out the 3rd brake light hole, used a dremel to modify the plastic trim and sealed with black silicone. worked well for me. I havent noticed a difference in mileage, tho that is probably because of the 350, the noise is bearable, and i have found the high mounted lights work well in tall grass situations, and when my headlights are covered by mud. never snagged anything yet, although i do avoid parking garages.. . .

i saw a thread where a guy ran it up and cut a hole in his roof and used a PCV grommet to seal it. it worked great. he also has some stuff about connectors for quick removal, try searching
