As far as the bumper hitting the body, I think I'm the only one who has this cornered. I know exactly how to prevent it and fix it. The only reason I do is that I tested the first bumper for a year and a half and I am now going back and impelmenting the fixes.

The Rockware guy sends them out the door and he's done. If there are improvments, he won't see or know about them unless you guys tell him. I hope you guys are telling him? If Lance and Darren with ZERO lockers have dings, I would like to see both of them on Holy Cross. Ding-O-Rama. The Rockware guy needs this feedback.

Finally I think old Brucie has one of the nicest designs but it would be way too expensive to make and sell. Just like Dan Eddelmans All Pro Slider Frame Cradle, great work but you could never produce it. My design is very simple hence the lower cost. The Rockware design is more complicated hence the higher cost.

I view the rear bumper this way, it's a tool and the form must follow function.

Mine cost a trip to the Springs, some money and 3 days. It was priced competively with other complete custom rear bumpers on the market and was made exactly to my truck. I gave Matt some pics, a list of priorities and said make some magic.

To the best of my knowledge, the only off the shelf rear bumper that is currently available for 2nd Gen Runners is from All-Pro. Stout Equipment made some, but an accident put them out of business.

I give you the buggy update as of January 25th.

It was looking tight, the rotors had come in, and the rear axle and diff were in place. The entire roll cage was fabricated out of tube steel and looked as though it was completely crafted by hand from scratch. Steering wheel and seat were in, and it looked like it was going to be ready to roll by this summer.

He did have an old jeep frame that looked like it was getting little to no attention.

That looks nice! It's something I would want in my bumpers. Like it's something I checked off when ordering a Toyota from the factory, "Off-road ready bumper" or something. Great work!
