Rim question

I am looking to get a 2nd set of stock rims to mount some 255 85 R16 MT's on. I called a yard and the guy told me that he has a set of rims off a 2000 4runner (just like mine) but they don't say 16x7jj 15 like mine. They say 7jj15 j16 on the rim. Never heard of this. Does anyone know if these are 16 inch rims with the same back spacing? I have searched this site for the rim size he has told me but I haven't found anything. thanks

I believe those are 15" rims. Instead of checking a junk yard, I'd go to craigslist. I know even junk yards charge AT LEAST $75/rim in my area. I've seen rims on craigslist for $100-200. Just a month ago, I saw a set of 03 Tacoma 16" rims with almost new tires go for $120! It was gone in minutes of posting.... Also, any wheels from 96-02 4Runners will fit.

The rims you're describing are the 15 inchers. Like cackalak said, CL would be a good bet to find some, as would ebay or even here on YT. I've seen some for sale on here for a good price that are in decent shape.

Those aren't 4Runner rims. They could've come from a few different vehicles. Tacoma 2001-2004, 1st Gen Sequoia, 1st Gen Tundra. But they should be 16" and will fit your 4Runner. Though I don't think they look that great on 4Runners...
