im trying to see what my 4Runner would look like with the Revtek 3'' lift with my 265/75/R16's. Do you guys think it would look stupid or what. Any feed back would be great

 

I had nearly the same amount of lift with the exception that i had a 2" body lift w/ BFG Mt's on the 5 stars...i'll see if i can find a good pic for ya

 

It would look good. Just be aware that the rear will sag after some time w/ the lift. Mine did. Here's a pic w/ my old Revtek lift w/ 265/75/16's:

 

Take a look at my Avatar. Revtek Coilovers in front. Roughly 3.5-4 inches, with 265/75R16. Should be similar to what you have in mind.

 

I'd stay away from spacers in the rear. As ebelen1 said above, the stock springs will eventually sag almost to stock height, even with the spacers...at least mine did! I just did the Land Cruiser coil spring install and got about 4" in the rear. You should consider the LC's or the OME springs for the rear.

 

How do the LC coils compare to the OME's? I have the OME's but want a smoother ride, the same goes for up front, I have SAW 2.0's, I'm looking for something smoother, more streetable, I feel EVERYTHING! Suggestions? Thanks

 

You're going to want to go w/ the OEM lift. This is the only lift I've read about where all (that have this lift) talk about how smooth the ride is. I've yet to read a post on other setups that say the same thing. I think I have the same setup as you and the ride is stiff, especially since my SAWs are tundra-valved.

Note that this pic was not too long after I put the Revtek lift on so the sag didn't occur. Over six months, the back did start to sag and I'd say at least an inch since I was 1/2" lower when I swapped the rear coils.

The difficult part of the install assuming you're not changing shocks is taking the front strut apart. It's probably best to take it to a shop that has a spring compressor and pay them $20 or so to take your strut apart and put it back together w/ the spacer. As far as the rear, as long as you take the panhard bar off one side at a time, the rear spring will drop down.

 

The LC Coils are a very smooth ride!! But they do give you 4" of lift!!

 

The LC coils are lonnnnggggg! I got 4" of lift with them over the stock sagged coils with spacers. You can see in my aviatar that there's some rake to my rig now, which I really like. Compared to the spacer lift and OME coils, the LC coils make it seem like you're riding on a cloud. My Rancho shocks are medium firm, but my rig still rides way better than with the spacers.

So far, I've kept the Daystar 2.5" spacer lift in the front. It's not the best ride and they won't do as well as the OEM lift off road either, but I'm gonna wait to do the fronts for a while anyway.

As long as you're prepared for the big lift and slight rake the LC coils give you, they're definitely the only way to go!

EDIT: I still have the 265/75R 16's on my rig too and will post up a better pic later today.

Here are the pics I promised. The first is with the Daystar 2.5" lift. As you can see by the space in the wheel wells, there's a lot of sag in the rear. Both pics are with 265/75R 16's.



This is the pic after the LC coil installation. As you can see, the rear is lifted a lot higher and there's a rake to my rig now. Not everyone likes that look, but it works well for me.

no its on 305's now.once you see the gap youll want to fill it.but i road on the 265's for over 1/2 a year. so regrets....no

 

ok so what should i do to prevent the rear sag... should i keep the revtek up front and L/C coils in the rear

 

I would do a coilover in the rear and spacers up front..
Do cornfed front spacers and OME or LC coils in rear

thats what i plan on doing in a couple of weeks

 

lc coils would be great. but i put the spacer in and got air bags
