I want to change my grille to the 01-02 style. Is it a direct replacement, or are there mounting differences? THanks

i've got an '02 grille on my '98. all the 3rd gen grilles should interchange no problem. although, it does stick out a little further than my stock '98 grille, so if i decide to swap on the satoshi there is more clearance. i'm trying to decide about some Hella 500FFs and where to put them so they will clear both grilles if i decide to keep swapping them when i feel like changing things up. here is a pic of my 4runner with the '02 grille on my '98:

I must be crazy then Because I want to switch my 00 to a an older style 98 grill

 

i got a 99 grille on my 98 and it does stick out some which pushed my hella's 700s down not a problem i fabed up some little brackets now if i was to swap back to the 98 grill all i have to do is remove the brackets

 

Im sure you will find someone to swap you accross for yours.
