I can help ya...
I bought a OEM spoiler off e-bay for $109 + I think another 30-50 bucks to have it painted. Install was cake and it was a perfectly quality job. The company name is AutoEarth, and I have seen them still advertising on ebay. I didn't see the paint option up anymore, but I bet you could call them and talk them into it...they were great to deal with. The only physical difference in the spoiler is the brake light on it is not as large as the OEM one as far as top to bottom dimensions...width is the same. It is just tucked underneath the spoiler a little more instead of directly on the back face. Good luck. Hit me back if you have and questions.

Can you provide some more detail on the install. I would really like the spoiler, but wasn't willing to cough up the dough yet. If the aftermarket is just as good, then what the heck. I just want to be sure that the spoiler is rigidly fixed to the rear tailgate and doesn't squeak or wiggle going down the road or highway. Any input from those with the rear spoilers?

Hey fourunnabilly,
When you press the brakes, how well does the spoiler light shine. How visable is it?
My main concern is with the placement of the brake light on the spoiler. And with truckers not beaing able to see that light well in stop-and-go traffic.
Any chance for a pic with the brake lights on?
Thanks for any help

Well, I don't have a pic I can post at the moment, but I can tell you that install is a breeze. The spoiler comes with two rubbery pads that adhere to the spoiler and go between the spoiler and the body to prevent any rubbing, rattling, etc. The install consists of marking 4 holes and drilling them, and that is it...takes 1/2 hour tops. If you can locate AutoEarth, buy one...you will not be dissappointed. The brake light is plenty bright, maybe even a tad brighter than the stock brake lights. Good luck hunting.

I bought mine from AutoEarth too. I got 15% off because I asked for a deal. You can have a local autobody shop paint it for you, they will already have your paint so you could probably get it done cheap. Install for me took way longer than a half hour but definately worth it. My runner is black so I covered the holes left under the hatch from the install with windshield putty. The brake is bright and sort of a deeper nicer red than others I've seen. AutoEarth didn't have instructions for install when I bought mine so if you get stuck send me an email.

Catie-
I had to hit you up after seeing your "My other ride is your boyfriend" plate frame...I had the exact opposite (girlfriend) on my 03' runner and got a bunch of sh** from some guys on here, though it was also a present from a friend and always seemed to generate laughs. Anyway, she's hanging in the garage now. Where are you from in Seattle?? I grew up just south of there hear the Port Orchard/Bremerton area. Later.

My friend bought a frame for my mom too! It said "coffee queen" at the same time he bought mine. The cashier girl gave him some funny looks( I wonder why??) Its a total joke plate he bought it because he knew I would like it- and THAT's ALL! I park in a really obvious spot at work(right outside window-so I can see truck all the time) and my customers get a good laugh at it too. Every once in a while I will get a perv, but not too often. I've come pretty close to taking it off a few times. I'm in the north end of Seattle. We got snow it was great! Haven't seen it in the lowlands for a few years. I had to leave for work an hour early just to drive around in it, a little too slushy for much fun but nice to look at.

Yeah, I've talked to a few friends back there who have said the snow hit for a day or two. Have plenty of it back here in MT. Did you grow up in WA...sorry for all the personal questions, you can tell me to go to hell if you want...just curious. Also, what job are you working back there? Enjoy the snow. Late.

I grew up here and there, always in Washington though. Lived on a farm and in the city, guess my parents liked variety. I help people satisfy their caffeine addictions nowadays, I make espresso. I dunno if you've ever heard of it, not too many people in Seattle have
