replacing hood inuslation heat shield
My 2002 hood insulation/heat shield is toast and was falling down on my engine.
Other than finding a similarly decrepit hood shield at the junkyard, what can I replace it with? No insulation = peeling hood paint and increased engine noise, from the research I've done.

This should be over in the repair section and not in the build up section as this seems to be a single question and not an on-going project.
To answer you question, you can use sound deadening material like Dynamat or there are kits for engine bay insulation (although personally I’m not a fan of the adhesives they use and prefer Dynamat)
