FWIW... if anyone are getting rid of their front and REAR swaybars or are replacing them with aftermarket, i'll take them off your hands...

 

I'm going to head out to driveway right now and remove my rear swaybar. I've been convinced enough that it's alright. The front one stays though.

 

I removed mine last year when the bushings were toast and have not noticed anything adverse.

Not one person who has driven my truck has noticed the lack of sway bar (including fellow 89-95 Toyota owners).

I can't argue the fact about 70mph problems as I don't drive my truck that fast. It is in all fact a TRUCK and not a sports car. It handles like a truck.

If handling were my concern I woulda bought a car.

Try it for a week. It's an easy re & re. Find out for yourself. Your opinion is the most important, right?

 

I pitched my swaybar a couple years back. What have I noticed.
My runner tends to dive right and left during hard stops, easy to counter but could be nasty for someone not ready for it.
Sidewinds affect me more at highway speeds.
Other then that the difference is minimal, except off road. I still drive my runner hard, and I have never been close to rollin it on the street.

 

Took mine off about 3 weeks ago, my t-bars are cranked so much that theres barley any flex. I actually like the sway-bars off, the only difference is a little more roll when turning. Im not worried about doing sharp turns going 70mph... it takes a looong time to get up to that speed

 

It won't be an easy re & re for me, one of the bolts didn't survive the ordeal and broke in half
So far I haven't noticed any difference. If I didn't tell the wife, I don't think she would have noticed.

 

Everyone else has pretty much said everything about the effects but I just unbolt my front before a run. I took mine off last night for a run tonight. Nothing to it if you know it's gone. It only takes me about 15 minutes to put it on or take it off.

It also depends on what suspension you have. I've had my front swaybar disconnected for 2 weeks now & I just swapped my Perfomance products coils & Bilsteins for OME shocks and coils this weekend. The front doesn't dip nearly as much with the OME's. When I say dip, I mean when you are driving at around 30 mph and you jerk the wheel left and right sharply to get a feel for it. I feel more comfortable going disconnected with the OME's.

We didn't get very far so it didn't make a difference. After seeing Gene's pics from there I was expecting to need it off. But you know how that goes, if I hadn't taken it off I would have needed it off.
But on the road my truck wandered all over the place at 80.

 

I'm just used to saying that now. We have lived together for about 3 years, and everyone at my work calls her my wife, so I just say it now also. It's just a matter of time before I can legally call her that
