Removing Interior panels

I want to get to my Rear Speakers and need to remove the rear interior panels. Any help would be great. Otherwise I'll pull till it pops

Nice thread I was going to link you to it but I guess you already found it. Just be careful when pulling the panel. The little clips that hold it on are $1.15 a piece!! I am getting ready to cut my panel out to fit some nice 6X9's back there. The 5 1/4"s just don't cut it with that much space and being behind them panels.

BANG!!!!
yes that about how those panels come off. I went ahead and took off one side completely just to see what was in there and how much room I had. Those little speaker must come out, I've got some Pioneer 6x9s that would go great with a little moding to the panel and some custom mounting brackets. I did manage to get it off and back on without breaking anything. Also before reassembly I put just a tiny bit of grease on each clip. I hope to make future removals a little less dramatic. The plan is order new cargo area carpet and decide on a speaker setup. take off all the rear panels and carpet and clean it out (some dog hair from previous owner) and get it in and lookin purdy. I am unsure about the speaker grille. leave the panel intact and just cut out along the slits to make it look factory, Or cut a hole and put the aftermarket speaker covers on. Any thoughts?
