Exclamation Removed front seat, trouble getting it in

i removed my seat and when i tried to put it in the tacks holding the nut broke, it happened on both front bolts. i cant see a way to get in there to re-tack it... on one of the sides i pulled it until the metal of the body opened up and now i can't get either side bolted in. is there a fix to this? any ideas so i can actually ride around with a passenger?

use a hole saw on the side opposite of the weld nut so you can get into the channel that the weld nut is in

might need to cut out that section and weld in new plate with bolts welded on the back side, other then that use a big washer to keep the bolt from pulling threw when u tighten it down.

If you're saying what I think you're saying it's a pretty common problem. I fixed mine by drilling a hole through the floor and using a long bolt. Others have done different fixes.
Maybe this thread will help?
