Any way to improve the range on factory remote on my 02 runner? The remote has to be withing 4-5 feet of the vehicle to work.. pathetic. It was like that since day one and I remember seeing others mention this. Did anyone figure out how to improve this though?

they do that for a reason it is so you cannot lock/unlock etc. from far away by accident when you cannot a see the vehicle and so on. i don't know if you could change anything to make it stronger.

 

Buy a Compustar keyless entry / ignition system. It will work 1/4 mile away! And you can turn your car on with your heater or A/C running.

Yeah, I know any aftermarket system will work. I was just wondering if there was a way to modify the factory one.
Maybe put a small deck plate in the remote or something
