Registering an AZ 4Runner in CA?

If you buy a '99 4Runner in AZ, and want to register it in CA, do you have to make any changes to the emissions system / cats?

How do you get it to pass CA emissions if it wasn't originally delivered to CA?

it should register and smog in CA regardless.
but then again I just moved back here from texas after being absent for 4 years.

ur fine - just go to dmv and theyll do an inspection and yer all good to go, maybe a smog check too.

they make it pass fed std, not calli std. I have a 49 state emission car in cail

correct you just have to meet the Federal standard, not the CA one. So if you have a cel you still have to fix it. but you would not have to add a second cat like the CA truck have
