howdy gang
I have a 04 V6 Quad Cab Tacoma with just over 11K miles. Recently when trying to refill the tank with gas the filler neck backs up immediately and shuts the pump off. I have to wait for the filler neck to empty into the tank and put more gas in until it shuts off the pump again and repeat numerous times. Its a real pain the gear!
I took it to differant gas stations and the same thing happened.
Yesterday the truck was dropped off at the Yota dealer for diagnosis. They called today somewhat befuddled and said they would try a new charcoal cannister and see what happens.
Now I also recieved a recall notice on the truck on saturday. I told them about it at the dealer and they acted as though there is no recall for this model that they know of. I was hoping the fuel fill prob and recall was one in the same. The recall card didnt say anything specific, just to return to the dealer for a "safety related issue".
Is anyone familier with this problem?
