Reduce Intake Noise?

Reduce Intake Noise?

All,
In regards to noise (I have done the mod too), could something like this help:

This was for cold air and is in a Taco, but it seems you could use dampening (i.e. Dynamat) of some variety than wrap it and see if the loud intake noise is quieted down at all?
Or is all the noise out of the hole in the deckplate?
