Redline MT-90/tranny...first impressions.

Well I drained and replaced the tranny fluid. The FSM says 2.7 qts, but I overfilled to about 2.8-2.9 (lost a bit out of the funnel). when I drained it, I got about 3 out of her, and it was the color of chocolate milk. I had the truck propped up on the driver side to add the xtra bit, and when it was done, It leaked slowly out of the fill area, so I capped it.

The first thing I did notice was how smooth it felt in neutral. Not sluggish at all. The expected feeling of fresh fluids. Played around with the gears while the truck was sitting parked, turned off. I noticed that I could hear a more noticeable "clack" when going through the gears. I should have done it before the change to get an idea of what it sounded before.

Driving it around a bit, I did notice that it shifted smoother, but I think because the fluid is so clean, it amplified the "notchy" behaviour that yota's tend to show. I know people have had different experiences with new tranny fluid, but does this sound familiar? I ask only because I changed it about 35 k ago and I have forgotten the "new" feeling.

Thanks

If I'm already over a bit (say 2.8,2.9) and I have this feeling, should I add some through the top (shifters)? I don't want to harm any of the seals so any advice? Or should I just leave it since it's already a bit above FSM?
