recent maintenance

just an fyi, i did a recent service on my 4runner, oil change, fuel injector cleaner and manual transmission fluid. For the first time, i used royal purple. also, after reading a few posts, decided to use redline's MT-90 (75w-90) fluid for the transmission. fuel injector cleaner that i used was from lucas. engine is running very smooth and the transmission is shifting like its brand new. the main highlight of this service is the transmission, since its been a little cold here in colorado, i have a bit of trouble of shifting into first gear. i decided to give the redline a shot and pretty much immediately saw a huge improvement in shifting into first, and all other gear for that matter. this was somewhat a spendy maintenance but in my opinion well worth the cost.

It's good to hear another positive result...I plan on using MT-90 in my 5pd transmission as well for the next change.

I just changed the fluid in my manual tranny this past weekend to Redline MT-90 and was very impressed also. In the cold, my truck shifts so much better. I was going to do the diffs with red line 75w-90 but my diff bolts are severly rusted on. They are currently soaking in pb blaster.

Redline stuff is good gear oil and I found amazon to have really good prices on the stuff!
