Rear window switch

Is there a fuse specifically for the tailgate window switch?

i can raise and lower the window with the key in the tailgate. I can lower the window from the key fob. However the switch on the dash doesn’t work as of yesterday to raise or lower the window.

Also so if anybody has a rear window switch for a ‘99 limited, I’m probably in the market.

Check the wiring behind the flexible boot near the tailgate hinges before you buy a switch, also keep the key hole clean on the tailgate as it has 12V at all times and if to much corrosion takes place you will have a window that rolls down on its own during rain/snowy days.. I remove the entire plastic panel on the t-gate and all the metal panels and oil the crap out of my tailgate on my 3rd 4R once year, as my other 2 4R's always had tailgate/window issues of some sort usually due to rust or corrosion.

Good points ^^^ often times it's bad connections that cause our problem. And when that key switch wiring shorts to ground, OR if tailgate key switch contacts short it will roll the window down. For extra measure, I'm considering moving the ground path for tailgate key switch so window lock on console/dash would also affect it.

Simple Matter to test the switch operation with either the window or a Meter .

I have had some getting up there in age would only work the window with the engine running .

From assorted reasons

Hey Wyoming I am having the same problem.....The Key switch will roll down the window but the switch up front will not.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem ?

That is an easy problem. However, a problem well-stated is a problem solved. Crystal ball is broken
