Rear hatch panel removal
#3
dbikeman,
i never attempted the back b/c i thought it was overkill and not practical. that is to say, i am way too far from the back to even notice any noise coming from there and all my passengers say that the rear passenger area is 'very quiet' already.
if you have a chiltons or haynes, i believe the diagram is there to remove it. ill check at home when i get a chance.
oh, check out jacksonpt's website. i think he might have done it.

Hey bob the write up has been great thats on 4runner.org ive been using that for advice. My bulkb pack of dynamat should be here in a few days so ive got my work cut out for me.

dbikeman,
glad the write up is helping you. man, if youre doing the entire 4runner in dynamat, you have way too much $ to burn!
just make sure the surface is clean when you apply the dynamat. also (and i think its mentioned in the write up), dont put one huge sheet on the roof areas. cut them up in smaller pieces. 4 to 5 is what i did. the weight of it will cause a big piece to simply peel and fall off.

I got a good deal on the dynamat. Im redoing my entire system for both dB drag and show in the next few months. Im trying to get sponsored by kicker. I plan on adding a new custom leather wrapped box with 7 cubic feet of airspace and im doing a custom install of my current kx1200.1 and adding a kicker kx600.4 4channel amp. Im also getting the grilles for the 12s. Im having the amp shrouds and the grilles painted to match the outside color. Im going to add Kicker ss components or MB Quart Q series speakers in the doors.
