Rear Differential Lock?

I have been told that the rear differential lock is only available as an option with the V6 Prerunner, so I figured I didnt have it because there is no activation button anywhere for it in my truck. Recently though someone told me that all Prerunners have them and they are automatically engaged....is this true?? I'm doubting it but I guess I just wanna be sure....

No, it won't be automatically engaged as it would cause problems turning on dry pavement as the rear wheels couldn't move at different speeds when turning. Not all PreRunners have the TRD package, which includes the rear locker. Simple way to tell if you have the locker: if you have a button on your dash labeled "RR DIFF LOCK", then you have the locker. No button, no locker.

Hope this helps.
