Does anyone have a link or know of some place I could find a write up for a rear axel reoval, it seems as though in my wreck that the guy managed to bend my axel and that it is going to be in need of replaceing, but by ME and no stealerhip is going to convince me otherwise. Thanks in advance.

 

Jack up the rear axle and support it on stands.

Remove wheels.

Disconnect parking brake and brake line.

Remove rear drums.

Disconnect four bolts on backing plate.

Make sure there is enough slack in things that are not connected and all that should be disconnected is and then pull out the axle taking care to pull straight and not bugger the inner axle seal which is at the end of the axle.

Go backwards to put it in. Wish I knew of a write up, but that has always worked for me.
