Re-wiring blinkers to secondarys
I did a search and really didn't find anything. Has anyone re-wired the lights so the blinkers, which are directly below the headlights, stay on as the secondary lights and the lights at the corner of the headlights now become the blinkers? I think that would be a very cool look.

Well, the easy thing to do for you... would be to switch the wires. Pull the bulb/harness out of each, and just switch them. You may need to extend the parking light wires, but it would be pretty dang easy to do.

I like the 'park' lights in the corners. I just thought the 4Runner need more. I added Piaa wedge bulbs into the turn sig housing to make a lower 'park' light with the corners. The turn sigs work as normal and look good with the stock clear bulbs...

Yeah. When I got Jason's corners, they came with 194 bulbs and sockets. I used the stock ones in the corners and used Jasons 'spare sockets in the turn sig housing. I drilled a hole the size of the socket and used a mini file to make the 'keyholes'. They are on the inner sides of the housing. I hard-wired them (solder, heat shrink and hot glue) and tied the wires in to the park lights...they make the Runner look bigger at night.
The bigger turn sig bulb (clear) is slightly yellower in color than the Piaa and looks good as a blinker even with the Piaa's lighting up the lens.

Okay, I'm sold on that idea Butnut. So the lower lense just gets brighter when you turn on your blinker? How much do the Piaas cost?
I don't remember, does Jason's spare sockets come with wires? I did the same as you using the stock harnes & bulbs. Just trying to make sure of having the correct wiring. And that wiring will get run up to the corner lights to be tapped into. Is there seperat hot & ground wires. I assume there are.
Thanks for all the info!

Yeah, with the Piaa's on, the turn sig bulb blinks in a slightly different hue giving a good blinker effect. My old Datsun used to have a double filament turn sig bulb which was a constant on park light and blinker...
No, Jason's and any ones corners don't have any wires, the socket is just meant to plug-n-play with the stock connector. I can't find pics of my turn sig hook up, but the hard wireing I did with my side markers are the same 194 socket...I did shave some of the housing off to expose the 2 tabs to solder. Use a volt/ohm meter to find the hot/ground wires on your park lamps. Good luck.
