I've got an extra cab 89 with a leer shell. I want to get a roof rack system so I can put a spare tire and/or a kayak (i realize this wouldn't work with both at the same time), plus I want to do PIAA lights on the front. I was looking at Yakima's loadwarrior and megawarrior. I know that Thule offers a system too, but haven't looked into it that much. I'm wondering if anyone has any input on either.

Also would it be possible/practical to set the rack up to it is partially over the cab and connected to the shell at the same time (to make the lights more effective)? I realize for this to work I'd have to buy the gutter adapters for the front or the drill adapters for the back. Also If anyone has photos of this setup please feel free to share. Thanks.
