Quiet AT tires

I believe you are asking the impossible. I went to AT's (see my sig) and I can slightly hear the more aggressive tread design but I dont believe it's anything anyone other than myself (or fellow 4x4Wire member) would notice.

The new BFG All Terraine's are pretty quiet. They are using a new technology called Banded At Zero (or BAZ) and it has made them quieter and smoother than the previous versions. Talk to your local tire dealer about the BAZ technology. I just got a set and I can hear them only a little at highway speeds, but they ride just as smooth as the street tires I had on there before (so far anyway). There is a good reason that they are the number one selling All Terrain ever made. Surprised you don't want the Revo's, I have heard great things about them.

Like 4Runner4Christ, I have the Toyo Open Country A/T tires. I'm very pleased with them.
They have a softer ride than the Michelin LTX M/S tires I had previously, same size, and load range, I even run more air pressure in the Toyo's, and they still ride better.
I don't blame you for not wanting revo's, I will never own another bridgestone/firestone tire again.

IMHO the Revos are quieter than the Michelins and I've had both. If fact the Revos are astoundingly quiet. The Revos kick up a lot of rocks, the Michelins don't.
Hope this helps. I agree with ya on the search thing. Besides, if everybody searches then the forum ends because about every topic has been covered. Its nice to get new opinions on old topics (at least I think so).

I am running the Cooper Discovery LT and love them. Great off-road tire and they are amazingly quiet on the road. I am running the 31 X 10.50 X 15 tires - my next set of tires will be Cooper's.
I hate the search button too - frankly I get tired of people telling me to use it. That's what a forum is for !!!!! To many people on here get their pasty little panties in a wad !!! just my 2 cents worth

Give Yokohama Geolandars a look;aggressive tread, good grip,50k mile warranty, solid in the rain (BFGs aren't very good at resisting hydroplaning) and at Discount Tire they are only $105/tire. I had 'em on my '97 and I liked them.

Probably the reason there are 10,000 tire threads become's very apparent reading this thread.
The information you ask for has been talked about over and over and beaten to within an inch of death. This is the aparent reason most ask you to search, to stop the same thread being brought up over and over and over ... Leading to good info being buried hopelessly.

look, i as well as other mods have gone through this battle before. the best way to utilize this forum is to search first, ask questions later.

If you are referring to me, I moderate and thus, this is one of my duties to try to keep things in order and try to remind people that searching often produces the best answers w/o waiting for others to respond.
