question on rear end disc conv.

Ok i want to put an 86 rear end on my truck so i get the extra width and can do the disc brake conversion. I found the conversion kit at allprooffraod.com. It says it uses GM components and was wondering if anybody knew a kit that could use the components from toyota?

On mustangs people do this all the time. Back brakes don't really need to be disc. The old drums work good. I got disc on mt 66 mustang because they came with the rearend ( ford 9"). If you do go to disc, write every down . Part # , what parts came from.

I thought www.rockstomper.com had a kit. They used the front spindle abd hub assembly from a 79 - 85 solid axle. The GM brakes are vented and using Monte Carlo calipers work very well. I did these swaps on my previous two toyotas.
