Question About Tube Steps...

Okay I have a bit of a dillema... I want/need to get some tube steps for my truck. My girlfriend is having trouble getting into my truck (I swear since I put the Bilsteins on they raised my truck another inch, it looks higher, and it feels higher when I'm driving it) and to add to the difficulty for her, she's pregnant
Either way i've been wanting to get some to kind of spice up the look of my truck, while also adding some more function to it. I've ruled out running boards, because I'm still going to be going offroading, and don't want to cut the clearance of my truck that much. I've also pretty much ruled out Sliders, simply because I don't do any major offroading where I slide down rocks, or hit any big rocks that would do any damage to my sides.
My problem is, I don't know which ones to get. I'm trying to decide between:
Pro-Step
and
Smittybilt
I like the Pro-Steps because it says that they have a limited lifetime warranty, they're cheaper, and they have them specifically made for 4Runners (I don't know if the Smittybilt ones do or not, because on the order page it doesn't give a choice for type of vehicle, just asks for number of doors). I've heard that Smittybilt makes good stuff. But I just don't know how either of these compare to eachother, or to other tube steps.
I'm really curious to know how tough these things are (I know they aren't made for rock sliding, or to take major impacts or anything, but if I were to bump a rock or something with them not too hard, how would they stand up?)
Anyone have any experience with these? Any help on these would be greatly appreciated!

He he he...

Mine are in perfect shape except for a scratch along the bottom of one.
I must have caught a rock.
Nothing some touch up paint can't sure, plus it's on the bottom, out of sight.
The Smitt's I have are specifically made for the 4 door 2nd gen 4Runner, and are the Sure Step model with the polyurethane steps on them.
The powder coat on them is perfect. I am amazed at the quality of the powder coat job.
It's as good as the powder coat job on my ARB bumper.

Dang, that makes me want to take a road trip up to Washington now
How much do ya think shipping would be to get those things to Southen California? I mean hell if the shipping isn't too outrageous on them, then I'll definitely buy them from ya
Thanks for the heads up Corey, I didn't even know there was a for sale forum here

I'd have to check on shipping. I have to also measure them, get a box, ect, and call UPS to find out how much.
They pick up right from my home.
I don't think shipping in the US would be more than $25.
The problem is finding a box for something like that.
I'd probalby have to call up Central 4WD by me and see if they have a box from an installation they did.

Hi Joshik, visit our Rock Sliderz roundup here too at YotaTech for some more ideas on sliderz.
Go to "YotaTech on the web" listed on the main page here, then scroll down for the round up.
There's quite a few designs in there now.

Hey Corey, I'd definitely like to buy them from ya. I really wish I was in the Washington Area so we didn't have to hassle with all the shipping and stuff. I was just at 4Wheel Parts this afternoon pricing new ones, and they're chargind $250 for the Smittybilt ones
Also how much do you want for them? If you want to, go ahead and e-mail me when you find out about the shipping costs and everything (They'd be shipped to Escondido, CA 92025) My e-mail address is Mimic2k@yahoo.com
Anyway let me know.
Thanks!
