Question about Toyota injectors.

I have seen Supra 305 injectors described as either "red top" or "blue top". What is the difference? What are the benifits of one or the other. If I go this route, which ones do I want for my '02 Supercharged Tacoma?

Blue top

I have a set of Blue Top injectors that I am trying to sell, and someone on the Tacoma Board confirmed that he has them installed in his 2000 federal emissions Tacoma.

He sent me a pic of them installed if you'd like to see it. It's at home, so e-mail me at mhawker@san.rr.com and I'll forward it to you.

Sorry, that's all the help I can be.

Mike

Hey Noel,

I just found out some information that may help you. The color of the tops of the injectors doesn't matter at all. What matters is the part number on the injector. So, here's how you solve the compatability issue that you and I have been wondering about for so long. If you find someone that has some used injectors for sale, ask them for the part number, what year vehicle, make and model. Using this information there is two real easy ways to figure out if they are the same as the 305cc injectors Gadget and everyone else is using.

1) Go to Gadget's site: http://www.gadgetonline.com/fuel.htm#Injector%20Upgrade

Click on the injector upgrade link, and you'll find the list of vehicles that all the injectors are interchangable for. This is if you have the make, model and year of the vehicle that the injectors cam out of.

2) If all you have is the part number, call your local dealership and ask them to cross-reference the part number you have to make sure it is a Toyota injector. Then they will also tell you (if it is the right injector) the same list that Gadget has on his site for the cars they work in.

That's it!

Chris
