Question about Rhino lining bumpers?

Hey guys. I am planning on rhino lining, in hawaii its lava lining, my bumpers and I have a question. Any suggestions what to do while I have the bumpers off and I am working on them since my 4runner is my daily driver? I need to sand and bondo some small dents and I would think the whole process takes a few days. Should I just drive around without them? I know this sounds stupid but it had me thinking for a while. Wondering what you guys do when you paint your bumpers.

OK thanks all!

Yeah I drove mine around without the front bumper for a while. I used some zip-ties to hold my turn signals on.

I wouldn't.
I debated it for a while because I need to have some bumper work done but fortunately, I had that thought while I was driving and not 10 minutes after I started thinking about it someone cut me off and then braked.

Not worth the risk, IMO.

I agree...

Even though our bumpers aren't very strong...they do *something*.
Early this year, I had my Sahara Bar off and was heading to Napa to get my new ARB Taco bar and not minutes after I picked up the new bumper and put it into the back...BLAMMO, I hit a Nissan.

Winching the fan from my radiator so I could drive home and $3300 later....Yah, oops.

Wow, thanks guys. That's pretty ironic gapguy. Holy cow. Ok I will have to figure something out. How long do you guys think the whole bumperwill take? Minor bondo and sanding the whole thing? Then spray? Thanks guys.

Can't you do the bondo and sanding while it's on the truck? Just take the grille out, maybe the headlights when you're working around them - they would be a whole lot easier to take on and off than the bumper IMHO
