Question about lifting gen3 Runner

Another question that has most likely been beaten to death
I'm looking to get about three inches of lift for my gen3 4Runner.
What I'm think of doing is combining the OME lift and some one inch spacers to get to the three inches.
First question is: is this stupid or does it sound like a viable idea?
Second: Wll three inches cause me to have to move other things such as diff etc?
Third: Is there a comprehensive lift that would include everything needed to get around 3 inches for less than a million dollars?
Thanks,
Donovan

What kind of shape is your current suspension in? When I upgraded to OME, my factory suspension was pretty much shot, i.e. had some definite sagging. My OME gear gave me about 2.75" in the front and 3.25" in the back, without any type of spacer. I got all of my lift strictly from the OME coils. If you have the time, run OME coils/shocks and see where that gets you. Then add spacers if necessary. There is the possiblitly that, if you do it all at once, you'll get more than 3" and be in a tough spot... as there will be a lot of stress on your CVs.

If you go 3", most people will recommend a diff drop to reduce the stress at the CVs. I never bothered with it and haven't had any problems, but it might be a good way to go to avoid long term problems.

It's a stock '02 with 20K. The suspension should be pretty good now. If I get the OME am I only going to get 2 or so inches over stock? I want to go ahead and replace the shocks too so would spacers (Revtech etc) and new shocks be a better way to go? I'd like to have a slightly stiffer spring rate, so Id go with a replacement spring pertch spacer type setup, I just don't know too much about the products out there.
