Cool Pulling the trigger!

I think I am finally going to pull the trigger and perform the deckplate mod today. I have had the Amsoil filter in there for a few weeks already, now is the time to open it all up.

Wish me luck! I will post back my results later today. I need to get to the write-ups to see what size screws I need, etc.

I need to invest in a corded drill. My cordless drill is kind of weak I am finding and it's having a hard time drilling the hole with the hole saw bit. I just plugged it back in and hopefully it will get enough power to finish the hole. Everything else so far as been a breeze so far! I just need to get enough power in the drill so I can be done and at work in 3 hours

Welp, all done! Everything went very well. I took a quick little spin around the neighborhood and it feels more punchy. It was hard for me to get into it because of the neighborhood and the slow speed limits. One thing is for sure, it definitely sounds GOOD!

I took some pics and will probably put them up somewhere. If anybody is interested let me know and it will motivate me to get them up.

One question that I have is, how long do I have to wait for the computer to adjust to the new air intake? I took out the EFI fuse like I was supposed to, I was just wondering how long it will probably take to adjust to a normal setting. Once it's adjusted, do you think I will feel a difference in performance vs. today's driving?

Thanks all!

P.S. - Time to update my sig

I put the pics that I took of the install today online. Click the link in my sig. to get to my webshots album. The pics came out pretty good, anybody that's interested in seeing should check them out!

Nice Job Cybre! But, there's only one thing wrong with those pictures. Your Silencer is still in place!

Nice work.

One thing at a time! It was hard enough for me to start chopping up my truck as it is. I still feel guilty that I am doing all this and it only has 2100 miles on it!
