Hello
Call toyota today about wy heater fan problem on my 2003 runner
they told me that was a design problem ...with the snow going in and blocking the fan.....they can fix it rerouting the ait intake....

Just had the 03' in for this same problem. There going too order a new fan...something about a dead spot with the blower fan. I wasn't aware of this reroute that you've heard about.
Anyway, this morning I jumped into the 4runner only to find I have no fan to defrost or heat the -2 degree temp inside my truck. LED showed that it was accepting my inputs...fan speed, temp, but the fan never came to life. I'll call tomorrow to relay this post.
One positive note, those heated seats kept my ass toasty!
