prices on bushwacker fender flares
I would like to get some bushwacker fender flares for my 1992 4runner, can anyone please recommend a place with good prices and service. Would also like an idea on the price range for the set of four. Thank you

Look on my website in the mods section on page two.
I have the part #s in there.
There are two ways to buy them.
If you get the shiny ones like mine, they come two to a set.
The rears are 4Runner only, and the fronts fit both '90 to '95 4Runners, and '89 to '95 trucks.
If you want the textured ones, they come four to a set, and for the 4Runner only.
I bought mine from Central 4WD.
Bushwackers do look good on this body style.

I got mine for my b-day. I think my pops picked them up for pretty cheap at Central 4WD. If you actually go into the store, it's easy to get them to come down on prices. Really easy...

I've rubbed mine pretty good on the trail and they held up great. I scratched the heck out of em, but they didn't crack or anything. Nothing a little paint couldn't fix.

I got mine from JC Whitney for $250 shipped and I had them painted and finally installed last week and they really changed the look of my Runner since mine came with that crappy chrome fender trim.

It was mentioned that out of the box these are flimsy.
That is correct, but once mounted they are very strong.
Also there is an advantage to the shinier ones like I have.
In a pinch when camping, you can use them for a shaving mirror, they are highly reflective.

I think I paid $240 for both of my sets from Central 4WD.
Pretty good price.

Yep Corey,I had mine painted by a friend after I saw your's and just couldn't have the flat black look. They did seem flimsy off the truck but they feel just as sturdy as the flares on my mom's Limited.

[[Has anyone tried the HEAVY DUTY RUBBER FENDER-LIP-MOUNT EXTENSIONS they sell seems like a more affordable alternative but i am not too sure about it, any suggestions? ]]
Heavy Ugly. Nuff said.

That shine doesn't last. Even if you don't get brush scratches and stuff (badges of honor!) simply washing them scuffs them lightly. From 10 feet away they still look shiny but that mirror gloss goes away pretty fast.
The Bushwacker ExtendaFenders do look great on the 89-95 (90-95 4runners) models.
The best price I found anywhere was http://www.truckxpressions.com/truck...ker_extend.htm
Mine were $254 shipped. Got em in a few days.

The secret is I use a claybar on mine, and power wax them with the Porter Cable setup I have and Griot's Best Of Show wax.
