Price check?

Hey guys,

Check out this 4runner for me and tell me if its worth me going to check it out...I live about an hour from where this vehicle is located so I wanted to see what you guys thought about the price vs options, etc. The pictures are kind of "glamour" shots so its hard to tell true condition with it all dolled up like that but again, give me some opinions....

I understand its hard to tell without actually seeing the vehicle but even so, the dealer is only going to go so low on that price and I don't know whether thats a good starting point or not. I think they're asking a bit much but I figure if I could get it for 10-10500k...I'd be pretty ok?

Thanks!

Kyle

No, still looking for a buyer for it. Honestly, I haven't been trying too hard recently, been too consumed trying to find another one first. Any interest?

I was thinking the red one as well guys, this week I will definitely have some time so I'm waiting for a response from the dealer who has it. Making sure he still has it and if there was anything else he could tell me about it...

I'll keep ya'll posted....thanks for the responses. The big positive about that 98 was the diff lock. buut for the price I'd pay for that one compared to the 99 I could easily throw an arb in the 99.

Can't go wrong with the limited. Lots of pics and looks like its in really good condition. Go for it if you can talk them down to $10K

What about some of these:

1999 Toyota 4Runner Limited

2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Sport - Black

1999 Toyota 4Runner SPORT - Black

There are currently 63 1996-2002 4Runners on eBay.

I say keep looking. For $10k, you could get a 99-00 Sport w/ rear locker. And a 5-sp, if you want that.

The ad on the tan one shows and mentions a v6 engine. if it's a 98 it's 10 years old. Shoot for the best price on either one. That's a lot of money for a vehicle that age and with that mileage. Keep the economy in mind, these dealers are probably scrambling to sell of their stock right now.

Hey guy. I live in western Ky., about 25 minutes from Evansville. I just bought an 02 4runner SR5 for $8800 dollars. Go to www.kennykent .com. I was just over there and they had a 97 green 4runner over there with 88,000 miles on it for under $10000. It was a limited and was in pretty good shape. Evansville had a few of them and Owensboro did as well. Try these: www.Moore Deals.com(Don Moore), www.Kennykent.com. I will keep my eyes open as well. They are reasonably close by. The 4 runner may have been at Wright motors. Visited alot of lots that day.

Just checked, and it is At www.Wrightmotors.com. Do an inventory search and it is the only 4runner on the lot. Asking 10,900, but I am pretty certain you can get it for under $10000. I have bought from them in the past. Goodl Luck!

if they got that thing as a trade in.. they gave them next to nothing for it. considering the markup on whatever was bought at the time of trade in. if what was bought was new it wasnt so bad.. but if it was bought at an auction or someone traded that 4runner in for another car they got as a trade in.. the dealership is making a killing off those runners.. say they were bought at an auction.. the dealership probly paid about six grand for it.. sevens pushing it.. then they toss the mark up on it.. then they say they can go below nine to get what they put in it.. so i say to you is if its WORTH it to you then buy the red one.. but nit pick everything.. point out every flaw to get the price down..

Thanks guys, I agree with just about everything you guys are saying! Haha, the mkt. for these trucks is declining considering the price they're asking vs miles not to mention gas prices right now. People are lookin for the gas savers now a days.

Onebadmudder-- I have seen that 4runner you're talking about, the miles are good but given the exterior features/accessories, I'm guessing some young kid had it and drove the piss out of it. So...I think I'm going to pass on that one.
