Price of 2005 Tacoma?

Anyone have any idea of the price on the new 2005 tacoma? Saw tons of info but no price. I gotta know how much $$ to steal when I rob a bank. Hahaha.

I have heard from a few people on this board that it isn't going to be a big change from the 04's. No official word from Toyota yet.

I am anxious to know, I want one!

I think official pricing release date is October 11th. I deleted my pricing post of last week with the numbers, nobody asked me to. I didn't want to expose Chris, Corey or anyone else associated with YotaTech to controversy.

Considering the increased content, features and improvements, I think most will be pleased with the price. OTOH, it will also make an '05 'Runner Sport V-8 with incentives (currently $1,000) look interesting. Hold on, it won't be long now...

I'm not trying to get you to give away info... but it sounds like you've seen official pricing on the 05s? If you want, PM me with the numbers - I'm very interested, and I'll keep the numbers off the board.

I assumed it it was removed for other reasons… but I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Not sure of the source (it appears to be a press release), but a run-down of the MSRP structure for the '05 Tacomas is given in this thread over at Custom Tacos:

05 or 04? I have not seen an 05 V8. The 04 runners are a good deal now.

I'm guessing a 4Runner at invoice w/ incentives is about the MSRP of a loaded Tacoma?

The sport V8s are going quickly. The 05 V6s sell at invoice. I really like the 4Runner, it has a ton more features, but I need the utility of a pickup.

I'll wait for the 05 Tacoma supply to catch up to demand. Save a few thousand & get the exact truck I want. It is going to be a dealer's market for a few months, maybe a year.

You scared the holy bejesus out of me!! Here I thought you were saying that the taco's price (including the XRunner) was going to be equivelant to the 4Runners! I was thinking there is NO WAY im paying 35,000+ for a pickup unless it has an 8.1L in it....

Thankfully the taco's will be nicely priced as they were in years past. Even the XRunners msrp surprised me.

Bluto, the incentives announced yesterday are $1,000 customer cash back on '04's only OR a financing option of (term/APR) 36/1.9, 48/2.9, 60/3.9 on both '04's and '05's. No '05 cash back yet, but it's almost a certainty by December. Yeah, I really like the 'Runners, too. The JDM build quality is second to none.

Bumpin', oops, sorry! I was thinking that a base Sport V-8 with incentives and typical market discounts might come in around $30K. That's about what a fully loaded Taco 4X4 TRD long bed A/T will hit, the most expensive model in the series. Quite a price range, though, and 18 models to choose from starting around high $12K for the fleet truck.

Don't Pay MSRP!

Hey everyone,

I have been in contact with many dealers in my area and Ive been getting all sorts of quotes and info. The latest I got was for a 2005 Tacoma - Double Cab - Auto - V6 - 4x4 - TRD Off Road #2 with Tow Hitch and Floor Mats.

Manuf. MSRP = 29,140.00
Written Quote = 26,819.00

Discount = $2321.00 !!!

WOW, and the truck isnt even hitting till 1st week of Nov!

Just wanted to post this as a note that if all of us potential 05 buyers as a notice that maybe if we hold off a little bit and refuse to pay MSRP, the dealers may be ready to deal off the bat.

Hope this gives everyone some hope!

HKINGS, I don't have the invoice prices in front of me, but that sounds like it's at or below. I'd have them write up a contract and give a deposit today. It's almost too good to be true because there are no incentives on the '05's yet, at least in the factory regions. Wherever you are, that's a great deal.
