Powered door locks

Hello All!

New to the forum and hoping I can get some help.

Re-acquired my 2000 4Runner SR5 (4x2) from my daughter. I'm having an issue with the door locks.

Both driver's side doors do not unlock or lock with the interior switch or the key (in either driver or passenger front door). I don't have a remote key fob.

Since I haven't had the car for a while, I don't know if they both went out together or not. I do not hear actuators click in either door.

Ideas?

The first thing to do is check the fuse and relay. That failing you may have to clean the mechanism, they get gunky sometimes.

Are you in a warmer climate zone? If so, it's likely those actuators just failed with time, as heat seems to kill them. It could even have to do with where the sun is where the vehicle is usually parked during the day (pulling this last out of you know where).

+1 on taking apart and cleaning . I have read some on here that have read on here that some have taken apart and cleaned and they work fine after that.
I live in Fla and my 2000 seems to have trouble locking and unlocking when its very warm out. On cooler days, they work better.
Just my $0.02
