Is it Possible that....

my engine could actually be running better after replacing my O2 sensor? The engine seems to sound better than before - is this just my imagination or can replacing an old rusty o2 sensor with a shiny new one actually improve engine sound/performance...

if it can maybe it was worth the ordeal of putting the damn thing in
