Porting and polishing Heads.

I havent heard a lot about the performance possibilities that could come with porting and polishing the heads or intake of the 3.0. I noticed that there seemed to be a good amount of metal that could be ground away between the two. Im not really looking to do this at all on my 95 4runner. But I did do it to my 1984 Nissan 300zx Turbo. I pull a little over 320 hp out of mine. But i wonder as im not an expert on the toyota 3.0 if there would be much to gain without a turbo. Most of the mods for a non turbo Nissan 3.0 are minimal. There is always something to be gained when the air flow is less restricted but I dont know what the tolerance levels of these heads are. Would it be likely that grinding away any extra metal will damage theses heads?

theres a problem when you over flow the heads ive seen from doin harleys before and if that happens your pretty much screwed. companys spend lots and lots of money in to r&d of performance heads, would i give it a shot heck yea but i wouldnt remove much just a little massage to work them nicely but only if i were doin a rebuild at the same time too much work for so little improvement.
