Please talk me out of $ for Optima
I really want an Optima battery to ensure good performance this winter and I just got a few extra bucks that are burning a hole in my pocket.
The problem is that I have a conventional Interstate battery that still has 23 months left. I've only experienced a little slow starting on really cold days. Otherwise, it fires normally.
Yotatech has basically created this dilemma for me
so I'm hoping you folks will talk me out of it.
Happy Holidays!

Don't fix what is not broken, besides you'll need to do a few modifications to make the battery fit more cleanly, if you want to see some pictures of the install go to my sig there's a link to a photo album. It has a few shots.
If your battery really starts putting more load on your starter, you may want to replace it then, before damage occurs.

I have a Toyota (true start) not OEM battery that was in there when I bought it. I probably wouldn't even notice if there was an optima battery under the hood. Just wait until you need a new one.
