Biff,
Exact same photo and item as on the JBM website. When you get please see if there is some way to mount the upper section so the Toyota logo is behind the grill insert.
Thanks,
Tom.

182 at the dash or the box? cause 182 at the dash seems a bit high for 2 w7s with 3000w total power

Biff-

Way to go on finding that grill...save yourself $25...as Tom says, too bad it won't wipe out the toyota symbol and the rest. He is a great guy and has been a ton of help for me.

About the Db reading...yes, that is a the subs...hit 174 @ the dash in an outlaw comp...you are smart fella's...though those 13.5W7's are un-˟˟˟˟˟ing real...couldn't belive it when I shattered the rear window...lexan is in the works, along with some new 6" subs for the front doors to go along with new 5 inch mids andfo-cal tweets. I'll get pics up one of these days...there is a pic or two up in an old post of mine...can't remember the exact title.

Running two direct lines of 0' gauge made a huge difference...I had a d-block for quite some time, in with 0', but out to the caps with 4 gauge, with an 0' gauge ground. Adding the uprgraded from Mr. Alternator, the yellow top, and an isolator made a huge difference as well. There has been no comp here in MT at all, I have won every comp hands down...the closest being 158 Db with two mtx 9500's. We are shooting for 180 plus at the dash with the additon of the new speakers and a massive old school 1200 watt Orion amp...one of their last good ones...I'll keep ya posted.

The mtx 9500 15's are supposed better than the w7s. Id like to see what to 15"9500s with 2 mtx1501d amps would do.

dbikeman-

The 9500's are a great sub, but a different breed so to say than the W-7's. The W7's are all about brute d block mono amp setup. tuned correctly to a sealed box (like mine) they move as much air (xmax) as 4 12w3's comdined...and their desired freq is between 13-80 hrz. The 9500's excell at up to 140 hrz, but are not as deep and the x max is less. Both are great subs, and honestly, i would promote either one...i was running xtant 1001's to each W7, and three of them caught on fire before I switched to the mono block 1501's which put out about 1100 watts rms..perfect for the 13.5w7...though i should have probably bought JL amps...regardless, i do not think you can go wrong with either one...more or less personal preference in my mind.

How come your only getting 1100 watts out of the 1501d? Is your ohm load like 3 ohms? I thought they were supposed to put out 1500w at 2 ohms.
