Parts Needed For 3VZ-E Timing Belt Replacement?
I am collecting the parts to fix my old 3VZ-E from my '91 runner so I can sell it.
All that is left to do is replace the timing belt, but I am unsure of the parts I need.
So far all Ive got is the timing belt. What other parts, gaskets, etc. do I need? And if youve got them, Toyota part #'s would be great.
Thanks

Here you go: http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/v6tbelt/index.html
To do it right I’d get everything.
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Thermostat
Idler Pulleys
Tensioner
Cam and Crank Seals
All other belts and hoses
If you need in-depth information on replacing anything let me know. This is an easy thing to do. It’ll probably take you a day to do everything.

Just did all that about 2 months ago & wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I replaced both cam seals since 1 of mine was leaking bad & was the reason for the tear down.
The commonly know "crank seal" is actually not like a "main" crank seal as I orig. thought. It's a oil pump seal that just happens to go around the crank.
But def. replace the idler @ the top (1 w/ the coolant running through it) if nothing else. Mine sounded dry as a bone when I spun it.
