Paddle shift 4runner project
#265
Schedule for the next couple weeks.
•Test circuit in actual vehicle (checking for microcontroller stability and no spurious resets/odd behavior)
•Print out PCB on paper and ensure all connections are there
•Verify that components will fit on PCB
•Mill PCB
•Solder components on board
•Figure out an enclosure
•Figure out a display for the LEDs

If you need a part in a hurry it's nice to be able to run and grab it in town, but yeah they are over priced.

He's using his breadboard (the thing with all the wires and capacitors)
To make a circuit that will flip on and off solenoids using the paddle shifters..
The sprinkler valves are just similar to the style solenoid than what's in the trans.
And i felt so accomplished designing and implementing a full subtractor with XOR gates D:, until i saw this beast of a circuit.

Thanks peow. I guess I didn't lay on the sarcasm thick enough. However I really love that someone on this board will always answer your question, no matter how dumb you think it might be. It really is an excellent place to ask and learn without feeling embarrassed with how much you don't know(no sarcasm implied. I really mean it. Thanks!)

If this was pirate4x4 theres a 67% chance you would have been berated, though.
