LOL! Those old tin bandaid and sucrets flip top boxes are good to hold parts.

Big step today. Something was completely screwed up with the Linux version, and it was unable to flash the bootloader. Works now, 2+ weeks to resolve the bootloader thing but moving forward.

Next step, hook it up to the 4Runner or some other vehicle just to make sure it can deal with a noisy environment, cars are the worst. Spurious resets or random behavior are the concern with noise.

lol... mine seemed to work ok during last testing... It told the trans to shift, but i just honestly couldnt tell if it was doing any shifting. the truck is barley running right now (no headers no cooling etc) i decided i'd just hold off until i get everything together to try it again. I know the convertor locks up lol it killed the motor when it did Either way I doubt you'll have too many interference issues

SOIC is successfully soldered along with male headers, so if it ever does fry, a new one can just be plugged right in. Now to wire this chip up and give it some power tests.

I think 8 million cycles per second should be good enough to do some shifting.

More progress today. Apparently using pilot holes on the PCB is a good thing when using a CNC.

Our little team made some more headway. Getting more proficient at Eagle CAD and CNC milling PCB's.

Board revision. Both chips will have sockets now for ease of replacing or reprogramming.

I don't get it? if your paddle shifting it, and the shift pressure is controlled via cable, what would the different settings change?

Another major revision. Notice the old layout has red lines, those are on the opposite side of the board. New layout is only one sided, all blue lines, major simplification when milling. The physical size will be a bit bigger though, around 3" by 2".
