OPINIONS WANTED- possible bumper repaint

hey all, I am considering repainting the chrome front/ rear bumper on my '96 4runner and wanted opinions on how black would look in contrast with my light colored paint. Check the link out- it is MTL 4RUnner's truck but it is identical to mine...i dont have a pic of mine up yet...

http://community.webshots.com/photo/...81331826DwWxZQ#

any suggestions are welcome. i have a manik brush guard with yellow fogs on each side of the toyota emblem and blue/xenon head lamps...it just looks too cluttered...i was hoping that changing the chrome would tone it down some...

IMO matching the existing color of your truck would look the best. Black bumpers look good on darker colored rigs.

I think it would look nice. I think a flat black would be really cool. But, if your rear bumper is chrome or any other color, I'd paint that as well. Someone needs to photoshop your image to see what it'd look like. If no one does it by the time I get home from work, I'll be glad to do it for you.

I would appreciate that, thanks alot! i got a copy of photoshop from a guy at work so i could mess with it, but it didnt install on my computer

I dont really want to pay to have it painted to match the body, I just wanted to do something rugged and durable with some cheap spray paint to match the color of the brush guard...

Here ya go! Hope it looks ok, I did it pretty quick.

I like the way it looks. It'll probably look a million times better if you do actually do it. Maybe get another bumper, paint it, and if you like it you could always sell your old one! or the painted one if you don't like it

wow that almost looks like it was already painted in the picture! Hmm decisions, decisions...i think with the brush guard, fogs, and clear corners that would not look bad at all... thanks a ton by the way...

i think even with the white, that the black bumpers look really good. i guess i'm a little biast since i did this to my bumpers and i really don't like the chrome look as much as the blacked out....just my opinion, good luck with it
