Opinion on Eastern Cats
I got a 2002 Dbl Cab tacoma TRD with the V6. 4x4 I am thinking of replacing the whole exhaust system. It has 150,000 and the origional exhaust is starting to leak and needs to be replaced. I need to get a couple of years out of the truck still. I am thinking of replacing the cats with the eastern high flow front and rear with a gibson exhaust. The front cat is rattling and when I replace it, the rear is cheap so it will get replaced also. Are these cats any good? Will there be any difference between the origional oem cats from eastern. The high flow for both the front and rear is only $40 more. Is there any advantage installing the high flow? It will get new O2 sensors in the front and rear also. I am hoping this will help my milage a little also. Every year my truck averages 10-20 miles to a tank less. I have tracked it since it was new. When it was new it got a little over 300 miles a tank. Now I can barely make 220 miles a tank. Sometimes I think they put more ethenol than they tell us in our gas=crappy milage. Back to my origional question.....How are those Eastern Cats. Are the high flow any good?
