true. the 880s and 881s have the same spring rate. the 882 is a tad bit shorter but capable of carrying a heavier load with less sag.. but what you have described as carrying in the back cant be more than 40-50 lbs? on a daily basis i carry my two 12" subs that are in seperate boxes, tools, and my 60 lb dog. i want the ride to be great when i'm towing and hauling around my heavy friends
