the 881s and 882s have DIFFERENT spring rates...
the 881/890 set-up is already a lot firmer than stock... and i have a 50lb brush guard and i carry as much weight in the back as possible (trailer hitch, 8" drop bar 2" ball, 3" drop bar 2" ball, lots of cargo tie downs, tow/recovery straps, a few tools, etc...)
