oil pressure?????

oil pressure?????
according to the shop manual, the 3.4 liter v-6 engine should be at 4.3 psi at idle, which seems way too low to me!! just installed my oil pressure guage- i am at 23 psi at idle! what is going on?

Could it say bar , not psi? Although that would be high psi at idle, I think.

4.3 PSI is the minimum oil pressure at operating temp. You are fine and have a healthy engine.

Wow, 4.3 psi seems way low to me too.
Just be glad you're no where near the minimum!
