oil change question...

so i changed my oil yesterday and being the bonehead that I am I only checked the oil level while my truck was cold (just after putting in the new oil). So I get home today after doing some running around and check the oil level just make sure it is ok. This time the oil is warm and it is about 1/8-3/16 of an inch over the Full line. Should I crawl under my truck and drain a little bit out or is it ok to leave it?

If you put in the right amount I would leave it, on all my cars when and if I ever checked it after it was warm it was above

You should be fine. That much over should be no problem.

Did you check the oil right after you turned the engine off? If so, that would read a little inaccurate also. You should wait a couple of minutes after you turn it off to let most of the oil drain back down into the drain pan.
