offset axles?

offset axles?
Still trying to get the right parts for my broken rear axle on my 96 4runner. The right axle (the one that is messed up) is shorter then the left axle by an inch or so. Is the third member offset to the right, so that the right axle is shorter?
Just wondering so i can measure the replacement axle to be sure it's the correct length.
